Spanish Women's Football Card Designs: Euro 2022 Illustrated Collection

During the Women's Euro 2022 in England, I embarked on an artistic journey, creating six designs that pay tribute to five key figures of the Spanish team and one comprehensive design dedicated to the entire squad. These designs, crafted with Illustrator, showcase Alexia Putellas as the queen of two nearly perfect seasons, along with tributes to Ona Batlle, Patri Guijarro, Mapi Leon, and Athenea del Castillo.

Tom Whalen Style

Inspired by the inimitable style of Tom Whalen, my work is a rich tapestry of highly contrasted colors, shadow play, and layered backgrounds. The designs brim with textures and gradients, embodying Whalen's signature touch. Each piece is constructed like a trading card, featuring the player in both their club and national team kits. Within each design, you'll find numerous nods to the player's career highlights and pivotal moments.

Achieved goals

This collection has been a pivotal gateway, opening doors to numerous sports-related projects and grand stage creations. Garnering over 3 million views on social media, it also led to a recurring collaboration with Iberdrola, now in its third iteration. This body of work has firmly established my portfolio as one of the finest in sports design, capturing the dynamic essence of women's football with unparalleled artistry.
