The Challenge of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix
In 2023, Formula 1 and DHL, two giants in speed and logistics, reached out to me. They wanted me to promote their design contest, which involved creating a proposal for the fastest pit stop trophy of the last race of the season, the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Once the design was completed and approved by the team coordinating the campaign, the next step was to create a video with a voice-over, narrating the process and inviting designers to participate in the contest. This international campaign was a showcase of creativity shared across all their social media platforms, where other designers from around the world also participated.
Style and Aesthetics of the Design
The trophy design was presented in this poster, a figure that fused three key concepts: the dunes of the Abu Dhabi desert, speed, and the golden sun that warms the city. The colors were worked in gradients, and the delineated lines gave it a dynamic and elegant touch, capturing the essence of Formula 1.
Campaign Reach
The final action of this promotional campaign was to publish a video on all my social media platforms narrating the work I had done. The result? Over 150,000 views. Additionally, participants had the opportunity to win a trip to Abu Dhabi for the last race of the season, where the winning trophy design would be used physically.
